Production Supervisor (Flour / Milling / Food)

About the role

Gatesource HR is seeking an experienced Production & Milling Supervisor to oversee daily milling and production operations in a food manufacturing environment. The role ensures efficient production, reliable equipment, food safety and quality standards, and leads a production team toward operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily production and milling activities, coordinate schedules and resources, and optimize manpower, machinery and raw materials
• Monitor production performance, identify issues and implement corrective actions, and keep accurate production records
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, inspect equipment and work with maintenance teams to reduce downtime
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards, support HACCP and food safety systems, and contribute to internal and external audits
• Identify efficiency and quality improvements, support waste reduction and operational optimization projects
• Promote a safe working environment, ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE, and report unsafe conditions
• Lead, coach and motivate the production team, support employee development, assist with training and onboarding, and foster teamwork

Required profile

• Technical vocational diploma or bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production, manufacturing or food processing environment
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Experience in quality-driven production environments is an asset

Required skills

• Knowledge of milling, manufacturing or food production processes
• Understanding of HACCP, food safety and quality management systems
• Technical aptitude for industrial machinery and maintenance
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
