Assurance Manager - Curacao

About the role

EY is looking for a Manager to lead assurance engagements, inspire a talented team and build lasting client relationships in Curacao. The role combines direct supervision of fieldwork with client relationship management and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess client satisfaction, keeping in touch proactively throughout the year
• Direct fieldwork daily, inform supervisors of the engagement status and manage staff performance
• Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment
• Apply a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts to client situations
• Delegate tasks, give guidance to seniors, provide performance feedback and training, and conduct performance reviews
• Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment, and contribute ideas to the audit teams
• Use technology to learn, share knowledge and improve service delivery, and maintain an educational program to develop skills
• Understand EY's service lines and encourage team members to apply the firm's services

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and an accounting designation such as RA, CPA, AA or ACCA
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm, or equivalent business/industry experience to meet special needs
• Fluent English; Dutch and Papiamentu preferred
